As my chicks grow...

And as I find more time to get creative, I thought I would share some of my creations, as well as my time with others. Hopefully I will make new friendships and create lasting bonds over paper, adhesive, and embellishments. So sit back, relax, and let's share...have a cup of coffee, or tea, or in my case a and let's just have a blast creating, finding new projects to make together, and gathering our supplies for future endeavors!

New Project

I know I haven't been very active lately...seems my Kodak Printer is not working with my computer these, hoping to get it fixed and running properly, but until then all my pics have to come from my cell phone....uuugghh!!!

Anyway, I have a few pics  I took of a Roladex I had gotten given to me to "make something from it", I made an inspiration box.

First I cleaned the box with rubbing alcohol to be sure anything I put on it would stick.
Then I used my alcohol inks in Cranberry, Butterscotch, and Raisin with Gold Mixative and applied it to all sides of the box. Since the box was a translucent brown to start with it ended up with a leather like is so nice!
Then I started on the dividers. I decided I wanted Sketches, Color Combos, Titles and Quotes, Embellies, and Techniques in my Inspiration Box.

For the Color Combos I used eggplant and purple twilight. I cut the words out with my Cricut, used my Gypsy to weld, using the Hannah Montana cartridge for the font. Used purple  embossing powder.on the words. I used Dark Blue Stickles for the extra bling!

For this quotes one, I used Sunshine Yellow, Clover, and Pool. For the words, again I used the Cricut with the Gypsy using Hannah Montana. The flowers were white. I put a few drops of clover, Sunset Orange, and Sunshine Yellow, as well as some gold mixative and the blending solution on my Craft Mat. I laid the flower in the ink and let it soak it up, picking it up and moving it to be sure all was saturated.  I dried it with my heat tool and then used aqua stickles in the center. I used Zing in blue on the words.

I used cranberry, red pepper and sunset orange on this one. The letters were a patterned paper with cirucles. I traced on them with the orange marmalade stickles. For the flower, I again used the craft mat (again, this was white) and dropped a few drops of each color (cranberry, red pepper, and sunset orange as well as gold and the mixative. I used the orange marmalade stickles for the center.

For the embellies one, I used lettuce, sunshine yellow, and sunset orange. The colors blended together beautifully! For the flowers, I used my homemade gold glimmer mist on the green and gold flowers. The word embellies I used a drop of lettuce, a drop of gold, and a drop of sunshine yellow. Added the blending solution, and dragged the word thru. Then I sprayed them with the homemade gold mist.

I don't have a separate pic of the sketches one in the front, but I used the Raspberry and Purple Twilight for the divider. Again, used the cricut with the gypsy and hannah montana font for the word sketches. Used the Magenta Stickles to trace the word.
Also used the Blue Star and Pink Stickles to make the "bling" that is  above and below the word Sketches.

Thanks so much for looking!
Happy Scrapping!

Top Tip for Top Tip Tuesday Blog!!!

So, I found this AWESOME blog Top Tip Tuesday and they are offering candy EVERY WEEK if you post a tip and follow the other easy rules!

So, here is my tip: this one is for organizing your supplies. I use a regular (not slim line or jewelry) case for storing my cling stamps. Every time I get a new set I stamp each on a piece of cardstock cut to fit in the case. Then I put the cardstock in the front (with the stamped images facing out) The stamps cling to the inside of the case and I can see on first view what is it in. I also put a label on the side with the name or a description of the stamps inside.
Thanks for stopping!

Glue Glider Pro and Glue Glider Max Review

I got my Glue Gliders Pro and Max in today...was kinda sweet, both came today from two different sellers!
The Glue Glider Max is a large, heavy duty tape. The Gun itself is large, and could be cumbersome as it is so large, but it is so lightweight, for me, that more than made up for the size. Plus, the 100+feet of tape is a huge bonus for me...I was going out every week and buying refills for my smaller adhesives.

The Max has a larger width of tape, not good for doing small projects...however, I used some to attach some cork to the front of one of my scrap-cabinets (pics for another day!) and it held better than the adhesive squares that came with the cork! One other bonus, for me, is that the tape is sectioned off in 1/8 inch pieces, so it is possible to put it just in a small area. This is great for adhering larger pieces together, or like I did in the following pics, adhering paper to glass bottles. Now, I must say, it is permanent, and once I glued it down, and gave it a little rub, it was stuck. The paper was tearing on the glass bottle and the bottles were cold, so it is definitely permanent!

The glue glider pro is MUCH smaller. Much less cumbersome. I have only tried the permatac tape tonight. The high tac and repositionable are en route to me...that said, the permatac doesn't seem as strong as the permanent with the Max. Of course, it is about half as wide as the max and again, it is scored in 1/8" increments, so smaller projects are a breeze.

Between the two, I will probably leave my Max at home when I go to crops. The Pro will be traveling with me. With both of them, you can pull the cartridge out and replace it with a different cartridge.
I will let you know what I think of the other cartridges once I receive them!~

Valentine's love from my family

Just thought I would share what my family got/did for me for V-day!

My hubby made me an awesome dinner. He had taken the kiddos out shopping for me, and they were VERY to wait upstairs in my bedroom until they were "ready" for me.
This is what they got me...

L and N wanted to get me something to paint....they offered their services to "help" me when I am ready to paint them...too cute!

My youngest two, S and J got me a bottle of Prima Flowers each.
I soooo needed some of these! With all the projects and layouts lately, I my stash is getting really low!

ALL of these Stickles were from my dearest hubby! I was so impressed (and blessed) that he went to the trouble of picking out gifts for me instead of giving me a gift card (seems so impersonal!)
I also got some Valentine 3 D stickers!

So, until tomorrow then. Have a scrappy night!

New Projects finished tonight

So, we finally got to get some of our Valentine Projects finished.
I have pics, a lot of them. I made a mailbox for my sis for her is on the 12th. My oldest daughter, H, and oldest son, N, made some for their friends. I took pics of H's today and will post them with mine and will post N's tomorrow. He made for each of the girls at church he "likes"...he is
anyway, here we go!
This is my daughter's mailbox she made for a set of twin girls she is friends with.

She put one girl's initial on one end (using fabric Thickers and then covering them with stickles)

and one on the other end.

She used paper from Target's dollar spot (look familiar?LOL) Ribbon from American Crafts and Prima Flowers to decorate.

View of one side of mailbox flag.

Sorry, it is a little blurry. Close up of the other side.

Again, sorry for the blur, not sure what happened here...
This is the mailbox I made for my sis for her birthday...

This is the other side. I used 3D stickers from Soft Spoken to decorate the sides and ends.

This is a close view of the one side of the flag. It is 3 flowers punched from cardstock and patterned paper, attached together with stickles in the center.

The one end of the mailbox.

This is the other side of the flag. I used the flower punch again, and attached them together then added a cupcake sticker and used stickles on it to Bling it sis will LOVE that!

This is the other end of the box. This came in the Soft Spoken package, I put it on the back end of the mailbox.
I am going to put some candy and a gift certificate in the mailbox along with some shredded paper to make it  more "partylike".
So, what do you think?

Scrapbook projects for today...

So, we are working on some more Valentine's Projects, mailboxes...these are so much fun to make. Later today I will post the finished masterpieces (each of my older 3 made mailboxes too) as well as some of the other projects I am working on.
We got about 30 inches of snow here, and it is still coming down...I am definitely ready for spring!
Of course as long as it snows I have nowhere to go, so, I have more time to scrap and create new projects!!!
I will talk to you later!
