As my chicks grow...

And as I find more time to get creative, I thought I would share some of my creations, as well as my time with others. Hopefully I will make new friendships and create lasting bonds over paper, adhesive, and embellishments. So sit back, relax, and let's share...have a cup of coffee, or tea, or in my case a Coke...lol... and let's just have a blast creating, finding new projects to make together, and gathering our supplies for future endeavors!

New Project

I know I haven't been very active lately...seems my Kodak Printer is not working with my computer these days...so, hoping to get it fixed and running properly, but until then all my pics have to come from my cell phone....uuugghh!!!

Anyway, I have a few pics  I took of a Roladex I had gotten given to me to "make something from it" lol...so, I made an inspiration box.

First I cleaned the box with rubbing alcohol to be sure anything I put on it would stick.
Then I used my alcohol inks in Cranberry, Butterscotch, and Raisin with Gold Mixative and applied it to all sides of the box. Since the box was a translucent brown to start with it ended up with a leather like appearance....it is so nice!
Then I started on the dividers. I decided I wanted Sketches, Color Combos, Titles and Quotes, Embellies, and Techniques in my Inspiration Box.

For the Color Combos I used eggplant and purple twilight. I cut the words out with my Cricut, used my Gypsy to weld, using the Hannah Montana cartridge for the font. Used purple  embossing powder.on the words. I used Dark Blue Stickles for the extra bling!

For this quotes one, I used Sunshine Yellow, Clover, and Pool. For the words, again I used the Cricut with the Gypsy using Hannah Montana. The flowers were white. I put a few drops of clover, Sunset Orange, and Sunshine Yellow, as well as some gold mixative and the blending solution on my Craft Mat. I laid the flower in the ink and let it soak it up, picking it up and moving it to be sure all was saturated.  I dried it with my heat tool and then used aqua stickles in the center. I used Zing in blue on the words.

I used cranberry, red pepper and sunset orange on this one. The letters were a patterned paper with cirucles. I traced on them with the orange marmalade stickles. For the flower, I again used the craft mat (again, this was white) and dropped a few drops of each color (cranberry, red pepper, and sunset orange as well as gold and the mixative. I used the orange marmalade stickles for the center.

For the embellies one, I used lettuce, sunshine yellow, and sunset orange. The colors blended together beautifully! For the flowers, I used my homemade gold glimmer mist on the green and gold flowers. The word embellies I used a drop of lettuce, a drop of gold, and a drop of sunshine yellow. Added the blending solution, and dragged the word thru. Then I sprayed them with the homemade gold mist.

I don't have a separate pic of the sketches one in the front, but I used the Raspberry and Purple Twilight for the divider. Again, used the cricut with the gypsy and hannah montana font for the word sketches. Used the Magenta Stickles to trace the word.
Also used the Blue Star and Pink Stickles to make the "bling" that is  above and below the word Sketches.

Thanks so much for looking!
Happy Scrapping!
