As my chicks grow...

And as I find more time to get creative, I thought I would share some of my creations, as well as my time with others. Hopefully I will make new friendships and create lasting bonds over paper, adhesive, and embellishments. So sit back, relax, and let's share...have a cup of coffee, or tea, or in my case a Coke...lol... and let's just have a blast creating, finding new projects to make together, and gathering our supplies for future endeavors!

Bid for a Cure

Hey everyone! Wanted to let you know the Bid For A Cure Celebrity Auction has started. Please, pass this link on to as many as you can! My sis has done a few of these and 100% of the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the cure. We lost 2 aunts to breast cancer and want to do what we can to support the research for a cure.

Glue Glider Pro and Glue Glider Max Review

Well,
I got my Glue Gliders Pro and Max in today...was kinda sweet, both came today from two different sellers!
The Glue Glider Max is a large, heavy duty tape. The Gun itself is large, and could be cumbersome as it is so large, but it is so lightweight, for me, that more than made up for the size. Plus, the 100+feet of tape is a huge bonus for me...I was going out every week and buying refills for my smaller adhesives.

The Max has a larger width of tape, not good for doing small projects...however, I used some to attach some cork to the front of one of my scrap-cabinets (pics for another day!) and it held better than the adhesive squares that came with the cork! One other bonus, for me, is that the tape is sectioned off in 1/8 inch pieces, so it is possible to put it just in a small area. This is great for adhering larger pieces together, or like I did in the following pics, adhering paper to glass bottles. Now, I must say, it is permanent, and once I glued it down, and gave it a little rub, it was stuck. The paper was tearing on the glass bottle and the bottles were cold, so it is definitely permanent!

The glue glider pro is MUCH smaller. Much less cumbersome. I have only tried the permatac tape tonight. The high tac and repositionable are en route to me...that said, the permatac doesn't seem as strong as the permanent with the Max. Of course, it is about half as wide as the max and again, it is scored in 1/8" increments, so smaller projects are a breeze.

Between the two, I will probably leave my Max at home when I go to crops. The Pro will be traveling with me. With both of them, you can pull the cartridge out and replace it with a different cartridge.
I will let you know what I think of the other cartridges once I receive them!~

Valentine's love from my family

Just thought I would share what my family got/did for me for V-day!

My hubby made me an awesome dinner. He had taken the kiddos out shopping for me, and they were VERY excited...lol....had to wait upstairs in my bedroom until they were "ready" for me.
This is what they got me...

L and N wanted to get me something to paint....they offered their services to "help" me when I am ready to paint them...too cute!

My youngest two, S and J got me a bottle of Prima Flowers each.
I soooo needed some of these! With all the projects and layouts lately, I my stash is getting really low!

ALL of these Stickles were from my dearest hubby! I was so impressed (and blessed) that he went to the trouble of picking out gifts for me instead of giving me a gift card (seems so impersonal!)
I also got some Valentine 3 D stickers!

So, until tomorrow then. Have a scrappy night!

New Projects finished tonight

So, we finally got to get some of our Valentine Projects finished.
I have pics, a lot of them. I made a mailbox for my sis for her birthday...it is on the 12th. My oldest daughter, H, and oldest son, N, made some for their friends. I took pics of H's today and will post them with mine and will post N's tomorrow. He made 2....one for each of the girls at church he "likes"...he is 8....lol...
anyway, here we go!

This is my daughter's mailbox she made for a set of twin girls she is friends with.

She put one girl's initial on one end (using fabric Thickers and then covering them with stickles)

and one on the other end.

She used paper from Target's dollar spot (look familiar?LOL) Ribbon from American Crafts and Prima Flowers to decorate.

View of one side of mailbox flag.

Sorry, it is a little blurry. Close up of the other side.

Again, sorry for the blur, not sure what happened here...
This is the mailbox I made for my sis for her birthday...

This is the other side. I used 3D stickers from Soft Spoken to decorate the sides and ends.

This is a close view of the one side of the flag. It is 3 flowers punched from cardstock and patterned paper, attached together with stickles in the center.

The one end of the mailbox.

This is the other side of the flag. I used the flower punch again, and attached them together then added a cupcake sticker and used stickles on it to Bling it on...my sis will LOVE that!

This is the other end of the box. This came in the Soft Spoken package too...so, I put it on the back end of the mailbox.
I am going to put some candy and a gift certificate in the mailbox along with some shredded paper to make it  more "partylike".
So, what do you think?

Scrapbook projects for today...

So, we are working on some more Valentine's Projects, mailboxes...these are so much fun to make. Later today I will post the finished masterpieces (each of my older 3 made mailboxes too) as well as some of the other projects I am working on.
We got about 30 inches of snow here, and it is still coming down...I am definitely ready for spring!
Of course as long as it snows I have nowhere to go, so, I have more time to scrap and create new projects!!!
I will talk to you later!

Valentine Projects

Well, I have been crafting away the past few days. Still have a number of projects planned, but I wanted to share what I have been working on lately.

Here is the first pic of my recent projects.

This is a Starbucks frappaccino 4 pack. I made this one for my sis. The paper is from the Target dollar section. The ribbon is from K I Memories, American Crafts, and Craft Essentials. The "CUTIE" is from a sticker set in the Target dollar section and the flower is Prima with Stickles in the center.

This is a closeup of the front of the first fourpack.

This is all 4 bottles with the carton. All of the papers are from the same pack from the Target dollar spot. The large flowers are  Prima Island Pastel. I used baby blue stickles and pink stickles on the centers.

For the bottom layer of cardstock I used Bazzill. This is the first of the 4 bottles. I filled this one with Conversation Hearts.

This is the second bottle. I filled it with plain M&M's.

The third bottle is filled with dark chocolate M&M's and the fourth is filled with Dove Chocolate hearts.

The top of the bottles. The designs are made with rub-ons that were also in the dollar section at Target.

This set I made for my brother. I hadn't filled the bottles yet when I took the pics. Again, all the paper and embellishments are from the Target dollar spot and the ribbons are the same as the previous project.

Bottles one and two. Filled with Conversation Hearts and I ended up filling the other with Hershey's Kisses.

I filled these up with peanut M&M's and Peanut Butter M&M's.
Last pic... These are 3D stickers also came from the Target Dollar Bin.
I would really love for any comments on my most recent project. Hopefully there will be many more projects to come! I look forward to hearing from you!
